TechCheck FieldOps ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This policy describes the information the app actually collects and processes today.
Accounts We collect the name, email address, company membership, and role you provide when creating or joining a workspace. Workspace admins manage team members and roles within their company.
Forms, permits and checklists The app stores form and permit submissions and their field responses, including Confined Space Permits (location entries, gas-test readings, entrant/attendant lists, signatures), JSA and MEWP inspection forms, checklists, and daily closeout reports.
Work orders For companies with the Work Orders feature enabled, the app stores the office-uploaded work-order PDF, the customer's printed name and captured signature, the technician service closeout details (service days, crew times, ETR use, repairs, parts, follow-up, notes), and the generated signed and internal closeout PDFs.
Signatures The app captures and stores signature images for permits and work-order customer sign-off.
Certification and equipment photos The app stores uploaded certification documents (front and back), equipment overview and nameplate/label photos, and the verified information a reviewer enters from them.
AI scanning (optional) When you use a scanner (Work Order, Equipment Tag, Certification, or Equipment image), the photo you capture is uploaded and sent for AI processing so the printed information can be extracted for your review. The uploaded photo is transmitted to the processing service before any extraction is shown to you; we do not claim that nothing is stored before you confirm. The extracted result is presented as an unverified draft — you review and confirm it before it is applied to a form or saved as a final record. Manual entry is always available instead of scanning, and no scan runs until you tap "Agree & Scan".
Remembered consent When you tap "Agree & Scan", your agreement is remembered for that scanner type on your account — once per user and per scanner type (Work Order, Equipment Tag, Certification, Equipment). It survives app restarts and sign-out/sign-in. You can withdraw remembered consent at any time using the control on this page (below); after withdrawal, scanning will ask for your agreement again before any photo is processed, and manual entry continues to work.
Withdrawing AI scan consent To withdraw your remembered AI scan consent, tap "Withdraw AI scan consent" in the box below. This clears the consent stored on your account and prevents further scanning until you agree again. Manual entry is never affected.
How we use your information Your data is used to operate TechCheck FieldOps: to display your team's records, send reminders, generate reports and PDFs, and provide the scanning review feature. We do not sell your data to third parties.
Data storage Data is stored in the app's Base44-hosted database and file storage. Many uploaded files — certification and equipment photos and work-order PDFs — are stored privately. Some files, including legacy certification links and certain signature images, are stored publicly. We do not represent that every uploaded file is private, that all file access is mediated through company-authorized functions, or that signed URLs have a verified expiry. Access to records is checked against your verified company membership. We do not represent that any particular storage region, encryption standard, or certification applies — confirm current specifics with us if required.
AI processing details Scanning uses Base44's built-in InvokeLLM integration. Base44's servers are currently located in the United States, and data residency settings control where data is stored, not where it is processed; scanning may therefore be processed outside your region. The specific AI model and provider used by InvokeLLM, whether that provider retains uploaded images, and whether it uses them for training, are not details this app can confirm from published documentation. On Base44 Enterprise workspaces, workspace data is not used to train AI models; on other plans, Base44 may use workspace data for training. The AI used in this app's in-app scanning is separate from any AI used in the Base44 builder chat. Contact us at apps@acu-tec.com to request current provider details before relying on any specific processing characteristic.
Data retention Your data is retained while your account and company are active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data through Account Settings or by emailing apps@acu-tec.com. Archived work-order sign-off records are automatically deleted from the database 90 days after they are archived by a daily automated purge. The purge removes the database records; it does not separately delete the associated PDF or image files, whose retention is governed by the platform's file storage.
Facts that may require provider confirmation Some processing details depend on the underlying platform and its service providers and are outside this app's direct control. The following are not confirmed by this app's published documentation and may change: the specific AI model and provider used for scanning; whether that provider retains uploaded images or uses them for training; the storage region(s) and replication of files; and the exact expiry behaviour of signed URLs. Contact us at apps@acu-tec.com to request current provider details before relying on any specific processing characteristic.
